Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shevchenko is an Kyrgyzstani and Peruvian Muay Thai fighter and mixed martial artist currently competing at flyweight of the UFC. She is the older sister of her fellow UFC fighter and ex- UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko's professional career in combat sport started as a Muay Thai athlete. Shevchenko debuted on the IFMA World Championship Tournament in 2003. Shevchenko took the title before being defeated by Suzane Mller by unanimous vote. Antonina won a medal of silver in 2007 followed by a medal of bronze in 2008 and a medal with gold in 2011. Antonina was also named IFMA World Amateur Muay Thai Champion in 2016 by the IFMA. Antonia began her professional journey at the age of 23 in 2003. She has won several titles including the K-1 World Championships the Lion Fight Lightweight World Championships and WMC and Phoenix FC World Championships. Antonina was last in action against Isa Tidblad Kskikangas at Phoenix Fighting Championship. The winner was unanimously. Antonina Schevchenko set professional MMA records in 2002, when she faced Anara Bazanova in the KFK Cup of Kyrgystan. She was victorious in the second round TKO followed by two more bouts at the WXF X-Impact World Championships to earn a 3-0 record. Shevchenko took a short break from MMA and focused on her boxing. Shevchenko made her comeback in 2017 with Anissa Diddaoui. Shevchenko won Anissa Haddaoui in a unanimous decision. She later defeated Valerie Domergue, at Phoenix FC 4, in an unanimous vote. She quit the club in 2018 and joined Dana White's Contender Series in 2018. Shevchenko wrestled Jaimelene Nievera as part of Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series. Antonina defeated Nievera by her superior striking abilities in the final clinch through knees to the body. Following this victory Antonina was offered a UFC contract. Antonina made her UFC debut in the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale, with Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko fell to Roxanne modafferi in a split decision following her debut fight. Antonina rebounded from her loss to defeat Lucie Pudilova by choking her back in a rear-naked submission in the second round UFC on ESPN Covington Vs. Lawler. She earned an extra fight in the night in this fight. Shevchenko was defeated by Katlyn along with Andrea Lee in three of her subsequent fights. She fought Ariane Lipski but she beat Ariane. In the past, Antonina fell to Casey O'Neill at UFC Fight Night Santos against. Walker via second-round TKO.
